Gods of destruction

Why do they need to exist when the angels or even the Kais are fully capable of destroying planets and stars themselves. Also, Goku and Vegeta have been offered training to potentially become future gods of destruction as have Toppo and Jiren, so we know gods of destruction are mortals who have been selected and trained for their position. Baring that in mind, why is everyone so shocked that 'a mere mortal' can be as strong as Jiren or can use ultra instinct when really every god of destruction is just a mortal themselves? Goku, Vegeta, Toppo and Jiren have been trained by an angel just like any other god of destruction, so why is their power such a shocker?

So i think to become a GoD you have to Hit the three check marks. 1. Power. You have to be strong enough to challenge the current GoD and if lack there of be in god teir level like goku, vegeta, toppo, jiren and so on. 2. Mastery of godly ki. Which i just assume anyone god teir and up has. 3. Hakai/destruction energy. I would assume they would need the potential to learn basically the techniques that make the GoD so special. Technically a kai can become a GoD but i would assume its forbidden among the deities rules. Kais are just supposed to create and guide.

Absolutely, but the gods aren't saying "blmey they got strong quick", they're saying "how can mortals have such power?" Have they forgotten they were mortals? They act like higher beings and beyond mortal comprehension...but they are mortals. And how do they know how old these mortals are anyway? Goku, Vegeta, Jiren and Toppo could be millions of years old for all they know. Boo counts as a mortal and he's older than all gods. It's the 'us and them' I don't get with the gods, they are all different mortal species with a job being a god, they aren't some godly race like the Kais. Posts: 96 Group: Member Member #13,987 Joined: July 30, 2017	Yeah I've always felt it weird that none of the angels or GoD haven't mentioned how ridiculously powerful Goku and Vegeta are considering their age...at least the likes of Hit are 1000's of years old...what happens if Goku and Vegeta live to that age? Posts: 656 Group: Member Member #13,607 Joined: November 6, 2016	In a sense, God-power as a reference point sometimes gets absurd storywise. I'd rather have them to finish this chapter and move on. In the manga both Vegeta and Goku possess God-ki and also the techniques of a God. Vegeta was no match for Beerus in his CSSJB-state. This while CSSJB-Goku was a real good match for Zamasu. In a sense they have become Gods, because they mastered the God-ki and are able to perform the Hakai, but still aren't there yet. That's somehow paradoxal. In the anime they don't have God-Ki and no real Godly advanced techniques (such as Hakai or UI), only absolute Ki-control, insanely high powerlevels compared to BOG and Kaioken. And still no match for the Gods as well.

If Frieza gets wished back alive then decides he needs to train more...decides to get a training partner and wishes back Cell....they then sneak off to train in RoSaT for 3yrs....what happens then? Both should easily surpass all characters apart from Zeno and probably the grand priest. They give everyone such easy huge power boosts that a few 'what if' scenarios puts lots on Beyond God level. Same with Kale and Caulifa....what happens if Goku and Vegeta train them for 3yrs in RoSaT? Edited by Namek_Nimrod, Oct 27 2017, 07:42 PM.
